What types of photography services do you offer?

We offer a wide range of photography services, including family photography, portrait photography, event photography, wedding photography, and more.

What is included in a lifestyle or family session?

Each session includes a set number of edited, high resolution image in jpeg files, with private limited time online gallery, and images are delivered via download links. Additional options like prints or albums can also be arranged.

How long do sessions typically last?

Most lifestyle sessions last about an hour, which is enough time to capture a variety of moments while keeping it relaxed and fun, especially for kids.

What is the best time of day for a session?

Golden hour—just after sunrise or before sunset—is ideal for outdoor sessions, as it provides the most flattering, natural light.

For in-home sessions, we recommend late morning to early afternoon when your space has the best natural light.

How do I book a session, and how far in advance should I book?

You can book by contacting me directly. For availability, it’s best to book at least 3–4 weeks in advance, especially during peak seasons like spring and fall.

What should we wear for the session?

Neutral or soft tones work beautifully and keep the focus on your family. Avoid bold patterns or large logos. I’m happy to help you coordinate outfits if you’d like!

How can we prepare our kids for the session?

Make sure everyone is well-rested and has had a snack beforehand. Let kids bring a favorite toy or comfort item to help them feel at ease. Also bringing some snacks as bribes during the shoot is very helpful too!

Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?

Absolutely! We believe that the location plays a significant role in capturing unique and personalized photographs. Whether it's at your home, a scenic outdoor location, or a venue of your choice, we're open to capturing your portraits in a place that holds meaning to you.

Can we have the session at home?

Absolutely! In-home lifestyle sessions are perfect for capturing natural, meaningful moments in your own space. I’ll guide you on how to prepare your home for the best lighting.

What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

For outdoor sessions, we’ll keep an eye on the forecast and reschedule if needed.

Can extended family members join the session?

My sessions are designed for immediate families, but additional family members can be included for a small fee. Please let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Do you provide props for the session, or should we bring our own?

I focus on natural interactions and don’t rely heavily on props. However, I encourage bringing meaningful items like a family quilt or a favorite book to add a personal touch.

Can we include our pets in the session?

Yes, pets are welcome as part of your family session! Just let me know beforehand, so I can help plan around them.

How long will it take to receive our photos?

You can expect to receive your gallery within 2–3 weeks. I’ll send you an email with all the details once your images are ready.

How many images will I receive, and are they edited?

Your session package includes fully edited, high-resolution JPEG images. These edits ensure the photos are color-corrected and enhanced to match our signature style. The number of images provided depends on your package, and additional images are also available for purchase.

What is the difference between edited and beautified images?

All of the images in your package are edited in Lightroom with our signature color style, ensuring they look vibrant and polished. Beautifying refers to additional editing, such as skin/complexion smoothing, contouring for arms and legs, blemish removal, and simple background distraction cleanup. These enhancements provide a more refined, print-ready look for selected images.

What happens if we need to reschedule?

Life happens, and I totally understand. I’m happy to work with you to find a new date if you need to reschedule. Just let me know as soon as possible.

Do you offer gift cards for sessions?

Yes! Gift cards make a wonderful gift for friends or family. Contact me to arrange one for any session type.

Are sessions refundable if we cancel?

Retainers are non-refundable but can be transferred to a rescheduled session if canceled with sufficient notice.

Where are you based, and do you travel?

We are based in Vancouver, BC Canada, but we can travel anywhere in the world for your event. For destination events, we will provide you with a rough estimate of the travel cost (i.e., food, accommodation, flights, etc.). We also offer special packages for our bucket list destinations! Message us and we can chat more about your travel plan!

How do you photograph weddings?

We want to capture the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. During the spontaneous portion on your wedding day, we will be doing more photo journalistic approach to capture the real moments and emotions. We may direct or position you for the best available lighting before your event starts, and we will also have our lighting equipment if additional lighting is required. During the posed sessions, we will help with posing if needed, like how to stand or place your arms and body, etc.

How many photos will we receive, and are the images edited?

You will receive all the good images in high resolution jpeg files, and they will be globally edited with our signature color & style. On average, there will be about 50-80+ good images produced in an hour depending on the flow of the day. More in-depth photo editing services, like beautifying and distraction removal, etc., are also available upon request.

When will we get our photos?

You will receive an online gallery link with the wedding day highlight in about 2 weeks. The full wedding photos will be ready in about 8-12 weeks (depending on the season we photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery, and share or choose your favorites.

How do we secure the date?

A non-refundable deposit is required along with the signed contract to confirm your event booking.

Do we need an engagement session, and when is it usually done?

An engagement session is encouraged but not mandatory. It is a more fun and casual portrait session, and a great way to get warmed up in front of the camera. There is no stress on time, and you can relax and really enjoy the session. An engagement session can be done anytime and is usually scheduled about 2-3 months prior to your wedding date.
