FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where are you based, and do you travel?
We are based in Vancouver, BC Canada, but we can travel anywhere in the world for your event. For destination events, we will provide you with a rough estimate of the travel cost (i.e., food, accommodation, flights, etc.). We also offer special packages for our bucket list destinations! Message us and we can chat more about your travel plan!
How many photos will we receive, and are the images edited?
You will receive all the good images in high resolution jpeg files, and they will be globally edited with our signature color & style. On average, there will be about 50-80+ good images produced in an hour depending on the flow of the day. More in-depth photo editing services, like beautifying and distraction removal, etc., are also available upon request.
How do we secure the date?
A non-refundable deposit is required along with the signed contract to confirm your event booking.
Do you provide timeline for our event?
Yes, we can provide a photography timing guideline or sample photo schedule upon request. If you are working with a planner, we can double check the timeline to make sure there is enough time for each photo segment.
When will we get the engagement photos, and how many images are there?
The turnaround time for engagement photos is about 3-6 weeks. On average there will be about 50-80+ images depending on the flow of the session.
How do you photograph weddings?
We want to capture the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. During the spontaneous portion on your wedding day, we will be doing more photo journalistic approach to capture the real moments and emotions. We may direct or position you for the best available lighting before your event starts, and we will also have our lighting equipment if additional lighting is required. During the posed sessions, we will help with posing if needed, like how to stand or place your arms and body, etc.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with the wedding day highlight in about 2 weeks. The full wedding photos will be ready in about 8-12 weeks (depending on the season we photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery, and share or choose your favorites.
What is the difference between edited and beautified images?
All of our images are edited in Lightroom with our signature color style. Beautifying refers to additional editing for skin/complexion smoothing, arms and legs contouring, and blemishes and simple background distraction removal, etc.
Do we need an engagement session, and when is it usually done?
An engagement session is encouraged but not mandatory. It is a more fun and casual portrait session, and a great way to get warmed up in front of the camera. There is no stress on time, and you can relax and really enjoy the session. An engagement session can be done anytime and is usually scheduled about 2-3 months prior to your wedding date.
